CVTC is using HEERF funding to create a new OER Nursing Assistant textbook with remixed content from Open RN textbooks that were created as part of the existing Department of Education-funded Open Textbook Pilot grant project.

The Health Care Assistant Program: Supplement to the Provincial Curriculum Guide (2015), Third Edition, November 2021 has been updated to support the delivery and assessment of the required learning outcomes and course content set out in the Health Care Assistant Program Provincial Curriculum (2015).

In this laboratory-based, inquiry course we will explore diverse techniques used by researchers to probe fundamental questions in the Life Sciences with a focus on human aging at the molecular, cellular, systemic, and organismal level. We’ll be exploring diverse fields such as epidemiology, neurophysiology, histology, cell biology, and physiology through some of the techniques employed in these fields, e.g. microscopy, disease modelling, cell culture, and the use of model organisms.
