Introduces basic concepts and processes of drinking water distribution systems. It provides a wide range of knowledge including a general background of drinking water sources, regulations, water system design, and various distribution system components and

Builds on the knowledge gained in Water Distribution Operator I and presents the student with an intermediate to advanced level understanding of water distribution systems. Topics covered in Water Distribution Operator I will be expanded in Water Distribution Operator II, creating a deeper understanding of how the various systems are interrelated.

Covers hydraulics math, Pascal's Law, hydraulic schematics, fluid properties, series and parallel hydraulic circuits, regenerative extension, accumulators, flow control valves and flow control methods, pressure control valves, pumps, and electrically controlled hydraulic systems.
